Improved outcomes for children and young adults with cancer will emerge from a detailed understanding of childhood cancer acquired through cutting-edge basic science and clinical research.
- Develop more effective and better-tolerated therapies that enhance survival and quality of life for children and young adults with cancer, and cancer predisposition syndromes.
- Utilize the strengths of the NIH Intramural Research Program to provide complementary and sometimes unique resources for patients, families and colleagues in the pediatric oncology community.
- Train future leaders in pediatric hematology/oncology.
