About Me/My interests: I am interested in enhancement of quality of life for children and young people with life-limiting conditions. I focus my work on practical methods of relieving social and spiritual fears. The support of family through end-of-care and beyond is one of the goals of our program. We offer a support system to help people to live as actively as possible. The process of enlightening our society about palliative care is very important to us. We also provide our staff with professional training and implement modern technologies of palliative rendering according to needs and socio-economic conditions.
I’ve been working as a clinical psychologist for 14 years, focusing mostly with teenagers (12-17 years old) living with oncological diseases. I feel strongly that these children should be aware of their disease and prognosis. But it is not an easy task but my work focuses on enhancing honest communication with the children, multi-disciplinary team work; and work with mourning parents.
