About Me/My interests: I’m working as a pediatric hematologist and oncologist and leading a research group focusing in various aspects of late effects of pediatric cancer. We have conducted register-based studies regarding scholastic achievements in survivors of childhood cancer, and we are continuing with register based studies on educational achievement, employment, income, sick leaves and military service after cancer in childhood. We are currently studying quality of life after treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukemia in the Nordic countries in children and their parents. We are also interested in the experience of informed consent process in the NOPHO ALL2008 treatment protocol patients. On of my PhD students is addressing the late effects among irradiated adult survivors of brain tumors in childhood with special emphasis on the skeletal, endocrinologic and neurological outcomes.

Training Opportunities: Not at the moment, but possibly in the future
