About Me/My interests: My interests are in the field of pediatric psychosomatic medicine-the interface of pediatrics and child psychiatry. I am interested in how children with chronic illness learn to cope and adapt; I want to understand what biological and environmental factors allow some children to be resilient in the face of adversity (e.g. medical experiences) while others develop depression and anxiety.
