SUMMARY: The AYA psychologist will work collaboratively with the Hematology/Oncology treatment team to provide care for the adolescent/young adult diagnosed with cancer using NCCN guidelines. This will include assessment, counseling, and psychotherapy. In addition, the AYA psychologist will develop and monitor quality indicators consistent with NCCN guidelines and will work with Hem/Onc and psychology leadership to develop an ongoing, sustainable plan for behavioral health services in the AYA population.

QUALIFICATIONS: PhD or PsyD in Psychology, Counseling, Behavioral Health, Family Therapy or related field. Must have experience in Adolescents and Adults; Experience in medical setting, clinical research, and H/O preferred. Must be licensed in the state of Texas: Licensed Psychologist, Provisionally Licensed Psychologist.
