Pediatric Psychologist
Nemours Children’s Hospital (NCH) in Orlando

Nemours Children’s Hospital (NCH) in Orlando is seeking a dynamic and committed Pediatric Psychologist to join our growing multidisciplinary team. The psychologist will be a key team member in developing child and adolescent day-treatment and inpatient units dedicated to children with medical conditions to open in 2014-5. Experience with hospital based consultation/liaison is important, as the position will include C/L services for the Nemours Children's Hospital. Outpatient treatment focused on children with complex medical illnesses will include interfacing with various pediatric subspecialty teams; opportunities for both teaching and research abound.

Candidates must have a PhD/PsyD in child clinical psychology/pediatric psychology. Completion of an internship in an APA-accredited child psychology/pediatric psychology program is required. Completion of a post-doctoral fellowship in pediatric psychology is preferred. Hospital based consultation liaison experience essential. Candidates with experience building predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship programs preferred. Must be licensed or license eligible in the State of Florida.

The Behavioral Health division actively supports research (including with internal funds and very strong mentors) as well as teaching. Links to the University of Central Florida are strong and opportunities for building psychology training are many. Our new hospital, which opened in October of 2012, is state-of-the-art and a centerpiece of Orlando’s “medical city.”

Nemours Children’s Hospital is part of a multi-specialty group practice that provides pediatric care for children and adolescents with chronic or complex medical conditions in Florida, Delaware, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. At Nemours, we take a whole-child approach to children’s health care — treating the whole child (not just the condition) and advancing life-changing research, prevention, and education.
