Duties and Responsibilities
The Louis Dundas Centre for Children’s Palliative care works to make a tangible difference in the lives of children with life-limiting or life-threatening illnesses and the lives of their families. It does so through research which impacts both practice and policy.

The Louis Dundas Centre seeks to appoint a Senior Lecturer interested in pursuing research and teaching which contribute to the understanding and improvement of the lives of children with life-limiting conditions and life-threatening illnesses and their families.

The post offers an excellent opportunity in an important and developing field of care and research. There is scope to develop one’s own portfolio of research as well as to work with well-known researchers and clinicians at a premiere research institute and hospital. We would welcome applications from individuals with either clinical or non-clinical background. For practicing clinicians there is scope to do clinical work in a relevant area and to receive an honorary contract at GOSH.

This is an open ended appointment.

Key Requirements
The successful candidate will have a PhD in a relevant subject area and have training in quantitative and/or qualitative research methods as part of formal program of instruction or through experience on rigorous health related research projects.

To be appointed onto the Clinical Senior Lecturer post an MD in a relevant subject area is essential and non UK trained doctors must provide evidence at interview that they are eligible for full GMC registration.
