Haiying Qin

Biography: Haiying Qin graduated with a Master of Science degree in 1991 from Utah State University. She came to NCI in 2001, and worked in the Metabolism Branch, where she investigated the gene expression and B cell characteristics of common variable immunodeficiency disease. In July 2007, she joined the Fry lab as a Laboratory Biologist.
Research: Haiying Qin has developed a novel murine model of pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) which expresses the t(1;19) E2a-PBX, a recurring translocation present in 5% of human ALL. Using this model, she has studied tumor vaccination and adoptive transfer of vaccine-primed T cells for treatment of relapsed ALL after allogeneic bone marrow transplant.
