Choh Yeung, BS, Biologist

Mr. Yeung graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. He started working at the NIH after graduation and joined Dr. Lee Helman’s laboratory in 1995, where he has continued to the present.
Mr. Yeung manages the daily operation of the lab and works on various scientific projects. His work currently involves generating tumor cell lines from primary or metastatic tumors derived from patients. He has also have generated rhabdomyosarcoma cell lines that can be transduced with a bar-coded shRNA inducible library, originally generated in Dr. Louis Staudt’s laboratory. This has allowed us to identify new pathways critical for the survival of rhabdomyosarcomas.
