Haven Battles, Ph.D. (contract, part time)
Haven Battles is a social psychologist on contract with the Pediatric Oncology Branch. In 1994, she joined the POB as a pre-doctoral fellow. She went on to complete a post-doctoral fellowship and now works as a consultant to Dr. Wiener and her team. Among other topics, her work has focused on issues related to diagnosis disclosure, secondary HIV prevention, and stress associated with providing care to critically ill children. In her work with the POB, she provides support for survey design, research methods, data analysis and manuscript development. She received her Ph.D. in Applied Social Psychology from The George Washington University.
