Dr. Ling Ren received her Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology from the College of Medicine, Penn State University in 1997. After her postdoctoral training at the Medical College of Wisconsin, she worked as a research scientist in the R & D department of Pierce Biotechnology, Inc. She had led or involved in the development of several products (such as Active small GTPase Pull-Down and Detection Kits, CoIP kits…). Dr. Ren joined the Tumor and Metastasis Biology Section in Pediatric Oncology Branch in 2004.  She has been the key person in the current lab to teach, train and mentor most of the students and fellows. Her research projects are focused on the mechanism of cancer progression and metastasis and the role of Ezrin, a membrane and cytoskeleton linker protein, in cancer biology.
